Our tickets are priced so that we can cover the costs of running the conventions. However, we don’t want the ticket cost to prevent people from attending. If the cost of a ticket is unaffordable for you, please let our admin team know…

We are thrilled to be able to come together again this Autumn from across our churches in the North of England.

It is so good to meet with women from various places, backgrounds and churches, seeking to know Christ better and serve him more. It is also a fantastic opportunity to gather women from your church family for a day out in Manchester or Leeds to listen to God’s word, be built up as you sing His praises and refresh your souls. Why not think about who you could bring to encourage them in their walk with the Lord?

We are delighted that Liz Cox will teach us from Matthew’s gospel, helping us see Jesus afresh and consider what it means to follow him wholeheartedly.

Our carefully crafted programme is designed to provide ample time for fellowship, engaging conversations, and of course, lots of coffee! Don’t forget to bring your packed lunch and browse the 10ofthose extensive bookstall – a perfect opportunity to explore their latest resources, discover new books for children, and perhaps even get a head start on your Christmas shopping!

We pray that this day will inspire, encourage, and challenge us. We pray for God’s Spirit to work through his word so we may be built up in Him.

Living without Fear: Using the Psalms to end your fear and anxiety

Kirsten Birkett

Do you struggle with fear and anxiety on a daily basis? Do you hear Jesus say “don’t worry” – and wonder how on earth to do it? In this seminar we will learn how to read the psalms so that we can genuinely live a life without fear. We’ll find out how to take the truths we believe and embed them in our hearts and learn how to meditate on the psalms so that they really make a difference to daily life. Discovering how to have true delight in God will help us see there is a way to make a worry-free life a reality.

Unfortunately Kirsten is unable to speak on the Psalms at Leeds, but a recording of her seminar in Manchester will be available on this website, shortly after the conventions.

Persevering in the face of Dementia

Karen Worrall

The Lord ordains all of the days of our lives, including the days when we’re dealing with dementia, which has such an impact on us or those we know. So how can we be women who persevere together through this season of life, holding onto our hope in the Lord? In this seminar there will be a mix of theory, theology and tips. Karen will be aiming to equip us as we support others who are ageing or have dementia; and to prepare ourselves as we grow older too.

Finding Joy: Breaking the culture of complaining

Anna McCracken

Complaining has become so normal that we don’t realise we are doing it. The Bible, however, warns us that grumbling is dangerous: it robs us of joy, and takes away our trust in our Heavenly Father. In this seminar we will discuss how to live distinctively as Christians in a culture of complaining – and how to discover the joy that is offered to us as we seek to replace our grumbling with Biblical lament and gratitude.

Gospel Friendship

Panel discussion

How does your faith shape your friendships? That’s the question we will be asking women of different ages and stages in our interview based seminar. We’ll have a brief look at the Biblical principles of friendship and then hear from our women how they have lived them out in a variety of contexts. We’ll look at Christian friendships and friendships with those who don’t share our faith: how are they different and in what ways should they be the same? How do we form friendships that depend on God, not just one another? And how do we keep pointing our friends to Jesus rather than try to meet their needs ourselves?
