Speaker

Matt Fuller

What does it mean to be a man? It’s such a simple question, but our culture and our churches are often unsure how to answer it. Maybe you are too?

Using his recent book ‘Reclaiming Masculinity’ as a launchpad, Matt Fuller will help us engage with our culture, steer us through the caricatures and confusions that swirl around ‘masculinity’ to outline a positive vision of biblical masculinity and help us see what that looks like in real life today.

Speaker

Matt Fuller

Matt Fuller is the Senior Minister at Christ Church, Mayfair in central London. Before training for ministry, Matt taught history and politics at secondary schools in Birmingham and London. He is the author of several books including Reclaiming Masculinity: Eight principles for being the man God wants you to be.

Workshops

We’ve a selection of engaging workshops to explore deeper the themes raised in our main talks. You’ll need to indicate your choice when booking.

Invest in Friendships

Matt Fuller

“If I had to give a piece of advice to a young man about a place to live, I think I should say, ‘sacrifice almost everything to live where you can be near your friends.’ C.S. Lewis

What do you think about that as a quote? Is he serious? What about career? What about family? Surely friendship doesn’t matter that much. We’ll spend this workshop thinking about the impact that friendships can have on us and how to pursue them well.

Staying Refreshed in Leadership

Phil Sweeting

Many leaders in churches spend more time talking about God than to Him. How can we ensure that as we serve others, we do so from a place of spiritual health and joy? This workshop will help us think together about developing spiritually healthy patterns to help us keep going in our ministries. This workshop is for any involved in leadership, including lay-leaders.

Reclaiming Chivalry

Nick Gowers

Is Christian Chivalry patronising or profitable? In this workshop we’ll explore when, why and how to use our strength to serve others in our gender-confused 21st Century culture.

Youth Stream

We’re delighted to be able to offer a youth stream (14-18). The teenagers will join the main sessions but have their own dedicated workshop, led by experienced and DBS checked youth leaders.
