Speaker
Andrew Sach
The wise man built his house upon the rock.
Most of us know those words—perhaps from the children’s song, perhaps from hard-won experience that foundations matter (don’t even ask about the garden shed…) But how seriously have we taken them as a call to discipleship? Jesus says the wise builder is the one who “hears these words of mine and puts them into practice.”
At this year’s men’s convention, Andrew Sach will help us explore a practical theology of the Word of God for men. Beginning with the Sermon on the Mount and then turning to the book of Hebrews—which describes God’s Word as living and active, sharper than a double-edged sword—we will consider what it means for Scripture to shape our thinking, our choices, and our daily lives.
Speaker
Andrew Sach
Andrew is co-Pastor of Grace Church Greenwich and a tutor on the Cornhill Training Course in London. He lives at zero longitude with a big coffee machine with which he attempts to pour nice shapes into his coffee with steamed milk, and with Gustave, a hyperactive cocker spaniel. He is a regular conference speaker and has co-written the Dig Deeper series, Pierced for our Transgressions and Are you 100% sure you want to be an agnostic? He co-hosts Grace Pod, an expository podcast.
Workshops
We’ve a selection of engaging workshops to explore deeper the themes raised in our main talks. You’ll need to indicate your choice when booking.
The Bible Toolkit – a DIY analogy for understanding the Bible more deeply
Andrew Sach
Andrew will introduce us to a series of tools to help us get more from any bible passage, looking at things like repetition, context, structure, bible timeline, genre etc. with lots of worked examples.
Words that Point to Jesus
Le Fras Strydom (Word One to One)
What if witnessing is mainly about helping others see the real Jesus? In this workshop we’ll learn how to warmly and confidently share the words of the Bible with the people in our lives. We’ll ask the Lord to empower us to joyfully witness to Him in conversation – no guilt, no special techniques required – just availability and the power of the Holy Spirit at work through His words.
Delighting in God’s Word
Tom Martin
Too often, daily Bible reading can feel like a duty rather than a delight. Together, we will explore how God’s Word is not a burden but a gift—an invitation to know Him more deeply, to hear His voice clearly, and to build lives firmly rooted in truth. Come and be encouraged to treasure the Bible as life-giving, sustaining, and profoundly satisfying.
Youth Stream
We’re delighted to be able to offer a youth stream (14-18). The teenagers will join the main sessions but have their own dedicated workshop, led by experienced and DBS checked youth leaders.
