The audio recordings of the three main talks from the 2012 London Men’s Convention can now be downloaded free of charge here.

The world talk is from the Early session, the other two from the Late.

A range of changed circumstances mean that we are not in a position to produce a CD of the 2012 Convention as in past years but we trust that these free downloads will more than compensate! If you are interested in purchasing CDs from previous Men’s Conventions, these can be ordered via the same link, just by scrolling down through the years as appropriate.

As of Thursday morning, both bouts of the London Men’s Convention on Saturday are now sold out. Any tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

LMC TICKET SALES UPDATE

There are a small number of tickets still available for the Late Bout of the London Men’s Convention on Saturday March 17 – we would love to see Westminster Chapel full to capacity at both sessions with men joining together to listen to God’s word and sing His praise! The Early Bout sold out a few weeks ago. Tickets for the Late Bout can be purchased online here.

Any tickets purchased after early afternoon on Tuesday (13th) will not be posted out, but rather will be available for collection at the Convention reception desk on arrival at the Chapel on Saturday (17th).

DEFINITELY WESTMINSTER CHAPEL!

We have had just one or two people confused about our venue. To avoid any surprises and last-minute dashes on the day, can we please just stress that the Convention is taking place at Westminster Chapel on Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6BS and not at Westminster Central Hall!

PRACTICAL INFORMATION RE FOOD FOR LMC

As all Convention ticket purchasers are aware, you will need to make your own arrangements to bring any food needed, although of course many of you may be planning to eat pre or post-event with church friends.

We have hired 2 halls at the back of the Chapel for the break times to allow people to mill and eat sandwiches etc. The capacity of those 2 rooms would not allow everyone to fit in but hopefully that will sort itself naturally, with many going for a wander outside etc. St James’s Park is just a couple of minutes walk away and is open until midnight! Some lighting is included! It is not permitted to eat in the Chapel auditorium itself, although you can drink water in there.

There are some cafés in the vicinity, along with 2-3 supermarkets all within 10 minutes walk. The best laid plans took something of a hit when the nearest Sainsbury’s, usually open from 7am–10pm, announced last week that it was closing permanently on Saturday March 17 at 4.00pm to allow for landlord redevelopment of the site! However, there is another branch opposite Victoria Station (open until midnight) and a Marks and Spencer between the Chapel and the station (open until 7pm). There are many food outlets in the station itself, and also a late-opening Subway in Strutton Ground, which is a 3-4 minute walk from the Chapel.

CONVENTION BREAK TIME DRINKS

Just a line to confirm that, after very careful consideration of the options available, all Convention delegates will be given a 500ml water bottle and a snack-sized packet of biscuits on arrival at the Chapel as part of the ticket price. The logistics of time, space, delegate numbers etc mean we will not be able to serve any tea / coffee on site. There are of course cafés in the locality for those who would like to buy a tea or coffee during the break times.

EARLY BOUT NOW SOLD OUT

Following our earlier posting, and a subsequent final surge of sales, the Early Bout of the London Men’s Convention on Saturday March 17 is now sold out.

However, there are plenty of tickets still available for the Late Bout (4.00 – 9.00pm). The two events are identical and we trust that any who were unable to get tickets for the Early Bout will be able to come later in the day and join with us then. We long to see both sessions full to the rafters with men coming under the sound of God’s Word and singing his praises.

There are, however, still plenty of tickets available for the Late Bout which runs from 4pm – 9pm.
